I joined the board of Midwest Food Bank because I knew what it felt like to play a high school football game on an empty stomach. I knew the challenge of focusing on learning with a growling stomach distracting you.

I also knew how humbling it could feel to accept help. I told myself it could be done with dignity and I could be that connection.

I joined the board of Stay Recruited knowing it’s important to pursue school alongside sports. I’ve seen my story inspire students. Alongside Coach Reggie we can make that difference.

I joined the board of CIS-Baytown to support students in my community. I’ve felt the impact of a warm meal and a safe place to hang out after school. As General Manager at Luby’s in Baytown I’ve created activity rooms for the students and donate meals whenever I can.
